Mother of Prem Pal, a Constable in the Central Industrial Security Force
Once upon a time my mother fell sick. She suffered from jaundice and all her blood dried up. Then she was admitted to a hospital, and the diagnosis was that there was a stone in one of the nerves and that operation was the only solution. She was very weak, so the operation could not be performed. Her condition deteriorated. The doctors told me that there was no chance of her survive so it was useless to keep her in the hospital. I straightaway took my mother to Gobind Sadan and met Maharaj ji, who was sitting in the Gurus’ room. I prayed to him that my mother was not well and he at once gave me the order to have a very minor operation done and she would be perfectly all right.
I was very happy, although everybody in the village felt that my mother would not survive, as she was very weak with tubes everywhere tubes in her nose, tubes in her mouth, etc. She was breathing only by the blessings of Maharaj ji. Otherwise she would have died.
At that time when I was sitting with Maharaj ji, a phone call came from my village that the condition of my mother had worsened and I must come as quickly as possible. I again requested Maharaj ji to bless my mother. He told me, “She will be all right. Perhaps she is very nervous that anything can happen, but she has been blessed by God. Go to your village and get a minor operation done. She will be perfectly all right.”
I reached my village and went to the civil hospital. The doctors refused to do anything, so I took my mother to C.A.M.C. Hospital. Here also the doctors were doubtful, and told us to take her back. They said that performing an operation would be useless so it would be better to take her home. But I was determined. I had full faith that she would definitely survive as Maharaj ji had said. So I took her to P.G.I. Chandigarh and got her admitted there.
Early in the morning when we got up, we read Jaap Sahib and prayed to Maharaj ji: “It is very difficult to get her admitted to the hospital. We need your blessings.” Then we went to the doctor and told him my mother’s entire case history. He suggested that we meet the senior doctor, and he also went to him. He even told the senior doctor that they should take up her case as it would also help them to study. My mother was admitted. Finally the doctors performed endoscopy to remove the stone. I requested the doctors that we should be allowed to sit there, and we continuously read Jaap Sahib. Whoever saw us praying used to praise us, saying “How worried we were; we felt that she would not survive.” But we had full faith in Maharaj ji. We were reading Jaap Sahib so that she would be cured quickly.
I requested the doctor to perform the operation and she would be all right. He did not want to operate and instead wanted to remove the stone with the help of the endoscopic machine. He worked a lot to do so but the stone could not be thus removed. One day they said that we would have to give five bottles of blood, and al of us five brothers gave blood, and the operation was performed excellently.
Now our mother is very well and she is enjoying good health. The whole village says that we have brought a dead woman back to life. It is all due to the grace of almighty Maharaj ji. The air we breathe in is given by Maharaj ji. At our home we regularly read Jaap Sahib, and all our desires are fulfilled by him.
Once we were going to meet one of our relatives by motor scooter. When we were just passing by the Qutab Road, a lady came by in a car, knocked our scooter, and we fell down. It was office rush time, about 9 a.m. Nothing happened to me and my wife, but my kids got little bruises here and there. Imagine: The car ran over my daughter, the tire of the car went over her hand. She was lying on the ground. We thought she had died’ but it was Maharaj ji’s blessings that nothing happened to her. It was as if Maharaj himself had saved her. Then we came to Gobind Sadan and met Maharaj and related the events. Maharaj; ji told us that the situation had been very grave, but God had been merciful and His blessings had overcome it.
