Many Ailments Healed

Mary Pat Fisher, author of college textbooks:

I’ve been here at Gobind Sadan for ten years so far, by Maharaj’s great grace, and so long as I stay here my health is excellent. By now I’m 56 years old and as strong and agile as I “’as in my twenties. But before I came here from the United States, I had a long list of health problems. I had sore lumps in my breasts, couldn’t digest milk, couldn’t digest a long list of foods. I had shaking hands, bleeding gums, bad skin, slow wound healing, stiff neck, bursitis in my shoulder, hay fever from allergies, frequent colds, vertigo, low blood sugar, inability to concentrate on my work for more than 15 minutes without becoming extremely sleepy, and a mitral valve prolapse in my heart. Sometimes my heart raced so hard and fast that they put me in the hospital to make a videotape of it to see what was wrong. The valve is like a flap that sometimes got stuck in the wrong position. They warned me never to have dental work done without taking precautionary antibiotics, lest I might die from a heart infection.

So when I came here I had a whole kit of medicines and vitamins to keep my health together. But soon I discovered that I didn’t need any of them. All those problems simply vanished. I drank the water and never got sick; ate the spicy foods and had no problem in digesting them. For years I hadn’t been able to eat ice cream, but under someone’s insistence’ I tasted ice cream again and discovered to my amazement and delight that I had no difficulty in digesting it. Rather than becoming so dizzy that I couldn’t see straight whenever I ate something sweet, at Gobind Sadan I could eat sweet things in any quantity without any problem.

However, whenever I return to the United States to visit my dear family, all those problems return. Moreover, I can’t tolerate the water. I have to drink bottled water in the States. People there say to me, “Aren’t you afraid of getting sick in India?” I say honestly to them’ “Quite the contrary; I’m afraid of getting sick in the States.” Surely it’s all a matter of Maharaj’s blessings. Once I said to him, “Maharaj, you know I always get sick when I go to the States. Why is that?” He grinned at me and said, “A child lives by its mother’s milk. When the mother isn’t there, the child, cries’ ‘Where’s the milk? Where’s the milk?”‘

We share these healing effects from Gobind Sadan with others. The ash from the (sacred fire) is so imbued with healina blessinas that we send it to many people in need. One was my father, a retired chemical engineer. He had an inoperable tumour in his spine, terribly painful. I sent a bit of the haven ash to them and asked my mother to rub a bit on the spot. They didn’t have any faith in such things, but still my mother did as I requested. The tumour vanished, “spontaneously.”

Another case: My publisher at Prentice Hall in New York and his wife, who has a seat on the New York Stock Exchange, had a baby who from birth couldn’t retain any food. The poor infant lived in the hospital, full of tubes and fussed over continuously by the best of doctors. However, the more things they tried, the sicker and weaker the infant became. His parents kept a 24-hour vigil by his side, taking turns staying at the hospital and trying to work. When I learned of their situation, I sent them some haven ash and asked them to rub some on the infant’s stomach. I told them, “It won’t hurt him, and perhaps it will help.” As soon as they did so, the child began improving. Soon they took all the tubes out and he began living on his own. To today his mother keeps a bit of that ash under his bed, feeling that it saved his life when he was tiny.

We also read Jaap Sahib for people who are in great difficulty. Once one of Maharaj’s great disciples was dying of cancer. He had not eaten any food for two months; he could only sip juice. When I went to see him, he already had one and a half feet in the grave’ as it were. He could only lie in bed, and his aura was gray, devoid of color. I took his permission to read Jaap Sahib for him in English translation. As I did so, I could see the color returning to his aura. I could also see that someone must have done some black magic against him, for as I read Jaap Sahib, I could see that invisible cords attached to him were being cut away, one by one. He began eating and walking around again and lived on for several more years

Another such occasion was the birth of my granddaughter. Her delivery was the most difficult the doctor had ever assisted, and after she was born at last,, my granddaughter had a zero Apgar score: no heartbeat, no breathing, no color in her skin. My son-in-law called to tell me that a team of doctors were huddled over her. ] began praying. The most powerful prayer that I know is Jaap Sahib, and when I got to the part which says, “oh God, You are the life force and support of all that is.” that

part kept repeating itself in my mind in Punjabi, over and over again. I visualized all the life energy of the cosmos being funneled down into this apparently lifeless child. God was so gracious that not only did she come to life; she became an extremely energetic child who rarely slept’ who talked a blue streak, and who is to today fascinated with all aspects of life.

Maharaj is always hiding his tremendous power, but occasionally we catch glimpses which reveal that it is actually he at work in the miraculous healings which occur all the time around him. Once we were doing haven and my mother called to request healing for my aunt, who was struggling with cancer. Maharaj said to me, “Throw these black oil seeds by handsful into the fire until I tell you to stop.” He was sitting behind me, and I began throwing the seeds into the fire. As I did so, tremendous roaring energy and light appeared, so strong that I understood that everything bad within my aunt was being burnt up. When the roaring and light subsided’ Maharaj told me to stop. My aunt pulled through and lived for many more years.

My own mother also developed cancer. At first’ she nearly died just from fee, of the diagnosis. She was weeping all the time’ lying so weakly on a sofa that my father had to take care of her. Her aura was totally gray. She had to face an operation, and I asked Maharaj to bless some candies for me to give to her. He touched them briefly with his hand; he never dramatizes his role in the healing miracles. When I reached her side’ I told her that Maharaj had blessed the candies for her. She said’ “You have one, too.” I said, “No, these are just for you.” She insisted, and at last I took one. When I put it in my mouth’ I discovered that Maharaj had put blessings of tremendous inner strength in the candies. My mother ate hers’ and from then until her ultimate death of cancer years later, through man,. difficult medical procedures’ she had an inner strength and calmness which were totally different from her earlier state of worry and fear.

Now Maharaj has given new blessings by instructing me to distribute biochemical cell salt remedies to people who are sick. When this order came, I was quite alarmed, for I have no medical experience other than what I learned from being a mother. But when a doctor came here and told us of these remedies, Maharaj at once said to me, “This is a very good system. Learn it and give these remedies to the congregation.” After trying out the remedies on myself to make sun there would be no harmful side-effects’ I began cautiously offering them to people who were sick. To my amazement’ most of them recovered easily. Every day I no“ treat at least a dozen people who come to my room, often with surprisingly good results. I can only attribute them to Maharaj’s blessings. At Gobind Sadan, whether we give people holy water or haven ash or something blessed by Maharaj or pray or read Jaap Sahib’ it is the power of God by which people are healed.
