MAHARAJ JI’S BIRTHDAY AT GOBIND SADAN 2024

Baba Virsa Singh Ji’s birthday has been celebrated with great joy In many places this year, including a grand Gurmat Samagam in Gurdwara Rodi Sahib, Nissing, and loving celebrations by sangat in Sarawan Bodla and Gobind Sadan, Delhi. In Delhi, 5 Akhand Paths began on 23 February and concluded on 25 February. On the last day, kirtan was offered in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in the Diwan Hall by Joginder Kaur visiting from the US, Jaspinder Kaur, Sukhwant Singh from Nissing, the Hazoori Ragi jatha from Bangla Sahib, and Gurdaspur sangat. 

Gyani Mehtab Singh praised Maharaj ji’s inter-religious programme of respect for all prophets, and said, “A sevak is one whose mind belongs to God.”  Jitender Singh of Norway, a long-time disciple said, “Maharaj ji is not a body. He is a mission that has taken birth. We should increase our love and get together in order to spread this mission.”

Speaking with great vairag, Ralph Singh, Maharaj’s first foreign disciple and first President of Gobind Sadan USA, said, “The mission is all about love. Tune your heart to God’s channel. We are Your children. Why can’t we just crawl into Your lap, stare up at Your radiant face? We are strangers, spiritual beings stranded in the material world, trying to find our way home.” After telling the story of how Maharaj appeared to him in the United States and then drew him to Gobind Sadan, Ralph Singh said, “Maharaj’s ship will not be drowned. But we may drown if we are not reciting Nam, sitting without a boat. And if we think the mission depends on us, that is great egotism. We are all actors in His drama. If we don’t look at each other with hatred, Maharaj’s mission will spread everywhere!”
