Career
- Retired in June 2003 as Principal Secretary to the Govt. of U.P. at the top Scale of IAS.

- Unanimously elected as first Chairman of CICOPA -Specialized body of International Co-operative Affiance for Asia & Far East during 1985-89.
- Elected member of the Central Executive Committee of ICA (International Co-operative Affiance) – an Apex World Body of Cooperative Movement in an election held in Washington in 1986.
- Elected Vice-Chairman of AGITCOOP (Ad visor Group on International Training of Cooperators) -Specialized body of ICA (International Cooperative Affiance) in Stanford Hall Loughborough (U.K.) in 1986
- Was elected Chairman of International Workshop organized by LL.O. in Geneva in 1990 in which 45 Countries participated.

Political Career
- Joined Congress Party in 2003 and was appointed President, Department of Redressal of Public Grievances & Complaints, U.P.C.C. and took up effective and successful Public Issues & Problems with the Government at different levels.
- Served as a Member of the working Committee in U.P.C.C.
- In 2004, contested Lok Sabha (Parliament) Election and made a strong showing as Congress candidate.
