“There is a movement in the world today to convert people to another religion. From the very beginning, I’ve opposed this. Which dharam is there to change? I’m not just talking about this today. I’ve been against this practice from my childhood when I didn’t even have a beard yet. I constantly speak out against conversion. I strongly oppose those who are converting people to their religion.
Why do I love the Russian people so much. Your country was at one time very powerful. But today it’s lost its status. So I want to tell you with great faith that your country will once again develop and rise to the top. But, you must work very hard. I’ve seen that everyone is sitting expecting the government to take care of them. What is a government but a system of management. Get the thought out of your mind that government will ever get rid of poverty. And work hard and love everyone.
Jesus taught that we should love our neighbors. Not just those who live next door, but our bordering countries are also our neighbors.
So today, I remember the words of your leader Sidorov who said that Russia and India are sisters. I think it’s a very good idea but let’s think how we can make them real sisters. I’ve been talking about this daily. Now the day has come when we are together. It will benefit both countries.
Many countries, not just Russia, have asked whether Bush will attack us? I’ve seen in my vision and I’ve stated on television, that he will one day become so weak that they, America, will have to withdraw their troops. I have no enmity with him. That’s why I tell you to speak out. Don’t be afraid to stand up and speak the Truth. When you speak the Truth God will bless you.
The Torah, of the Avesta of the Parsis, the Bible, and the Koran, are all accepted as scriptures by the world. We’ve given great respect to all these traditions. You’ll see that people pray to Jesus 24 hours a day. Stand and sing his praises. So when people say that we should become Christian, tell me what do you mean by Christian, I don’t understand. What is a Christian? Do you mean that I have to follow your orders. I don’t wear a cross and I’m not a Christian but Jesus came and met me here. He great me great blessings, great boons.
I’ll give you a small example: 2 children came. They were both blind. I told Mary to take them to Jesus. And tell Jesus very simply and directly with love. ‘This is Your nature, You are the one who gives sight to the blind, makes the cripples climb mountains, please do the same for them, they need to see.’ I’ll tell Mary to introduce them to you.
There are two things that have much in common: the scientist and the dervish. By dervish, I mean the one who loves God. You’ll see after a little while, scientists will discover 14 planets where very good human beings live. And their science is greatly advanced.
So that’s why I tell you that Russia will change. You will see great changes.
So stay happy. And laugh. Don’t think about your age. You’ll see in a short time that the average person will live to be 100. There are many 90 year-olds today who are enjoying their full lifestyle. But just keep faith. If you doubt, you’ll get worried. It won’t effect anyone else. It’s my habit to speak about whatever God shares with me, but you must have many questions.”
Audience Questions
Q: “When you speak about work, do you mean work within our minds, think, or with our hands?”
A: “Both. Link your minds to God and work with your hands.”
Q: “What about our minds?“
A: “If you don’t apply your minds what kind of work will you produce? You won’t work at all. But if you don’t work, your minds will create mischief for you, what else will your mind do?
I just want you to stay happy. I know that you still have some fear left in you because you have been oppressed for so long. Even if the government wanted to create a dictatorship today, they wouldn’t be successful. It can’t be reasserted. That day will never come again. This is a very good time.”
Q: “I have a lot of difficult questions which concern everyone on this planet. We look at the conditions of the world – we see terrorism and conflicts, poverty, we see the environmental degradation, the pollution of the landscape, the air, major climate changes. Even though we scientists have shown that we humans have made major mistakes, the people still continue with their current practices and don’t accept this lesson. What future can we expect?“
A: “Work and meditate and you find will find the path out. The darkness will run away. I see good times ahead. The more the world is burning, the more rain God will send to put out the fire. But I don’t want you to worry. Everything will change.
The child who wants to learn will always ask good questions. I want you to understand that we are all students. I’m a student too. I keep asking questions to The One I believe in. And then I learn and you learn too.”
Q: “I’ll ask a more complicated question. If India and Russia come together will it solve the world’s problems?“
A: “One day the 3 great powers will come together. Write it in your diaries, China, Russia, and America.”
Q: “If those 3 come together will India be left behind?“
A – When the 3 come together the times will begin to change for good. No one will be left out.
Q: “The condition of women’s is not very good in the world. They are not given respect. What about the women on those 14 planets that you’ve spoken about?”
A: “They have great respect for women on those planets. Women have such a high place in God’s house, that before God sends His prophets to the world, when God decides to send his messenger to the world, He first chooses/blesses the woman who will be the mother. You have a very great place.”
Q: “Will Russia ever see a woman president?“
A: “Definitely. Follow whatever I tell you.
Remember the stories of the Prophet Mohammed. His first wife Khadija was a business woman, and the Prophet was her employee and later they married. He built a special Mosque built for her.
Then there’s the story of his wife A’isha, the daughter of Abu Bakr, who was one of the Prophet’s closest devotees. One day someone lodged a complaint against her. Now this was a lie. During that time the Voice of God stopped. Then (sometime later) while the Prophet was eating, the Voice spoke and said, “She’s right. She was not wrong.”
So, when you talk about women, I want you to remember these stories. God took the woman’s side. All of you should ask forgiveness for complaining that God doesn’t care about women. Women have a very good position. If my mother wasn’t there how would we be meeting today.”
Maharaj ji was then asked about an upcoming meeting, uniting mothers to save the planet.
Very forcefully Maharaj ji replied, “Nothing will happen to the earth. It is our Mother. Water is our father. Understand that it is pure, clean.
Ask more questions. You are filled with questions. I can feel them boiling up within you. Ask them and get them out.”
One of the participants was so overwhelmed by the gathering:
“Maharaj ji, I am so happy sitting among these brothers and sisters. You have brought these people together but it doesn’t seem that they have come from Russia, they have been my brothers and sisters for many births. It feels that they really are our family and that the borders of the world have disappeared. It’s almost like a piece of India has returned. Their faces hold the glow of our brothers and sisters. You have banished that doubt. All human beings are really one. Please bless us that our sense of differences goes away so we can live together as one family.”
Baba ji replied: “It will increase. That feeling is not going anywhere.”
Q: “Our media is sick. It only shows the dark side of life, the wars, the killings, and the crime. There are many good things happening as well. How do we cure the media so it projects a better society than they do today?”
A: “It will change. They are writing about our work here. We never asked them. If you change yourselves, the media will also change.”
Q: “How can we change the media in Russia?”
A: “First change yourself. You haven’t changed yourselves. When they see how you have changed, they will also change. But I don’t want you to spend a lot of time worrying about these things. It’s not worth your time. Instead of worrying about how to change them, why not spend the time changing yourself. Then, you’ll see the change in the world.”
Asked about serving senior citizens who are left out of our society Maharaj ji replied:
“Don’t worry it will be all right, our elders only want love, nothing else. They will come together.”
Q: Maharaj ji please solve the problem of the fights between mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws. Bless them with your love.
A: It will be all right.
Q: “When people receive a certain level of income, beyond their basic needs, they develop culturally and spiritually. We have examples in the richer countries. They take better care of themselves as they’re not worried about their future income. Then in poorer countries, we’ve found. That people have to spend all their time thinking about tomorrow. They are not stupid, they are simply worried about survival. With the exception of India. Despite the fact that they are poor many of them are happy and enlightened. How and why does this happen? And what we learn from them for the future.”
A: “They are like tigers. A tiger may live alone in the jungle. Whenever he steps out of the jungle and roars the other animals get afraid. Don’t think of people as poor. They’re like tigers and those who aren’t worried about material things make very loyal friends.
You can learn from those who are happy even though they may be poor that you should also be happy and not worry about what you have.”
Q: “The youth of today is mostly concerned about fashion. How can we turn the Russian youth towards spirituality.”
A: “You yourselves are that way. You all are dressed differently. First turn within yourselves and then the children will follow your example.”
