Tributes to Harvinder Singh

We are sending you some photos from the havan dedicated to our dear friend and spiritual brother Harvinder. We all miss him very much. We were singing Jaap Sahib for 75 minutes, wishing him a bright way! Many participants wrote heartfelt words for Harvinder in our book of responses. Our soul does not believe in parting with our dear friend; he left too early. But we believe he will keep serving Maharaj Ji’s mission. It means we all will again meet on the One Way!

L.L. Harvinder Singh’s passing leaves an enormous hole, both in the hearts of those who loved him, in Gobind Sadan’s daily life, and Babaji’s world wide mission. We all miss him terribly. Few had the privilege of serving Babaji so closely and faithfully. Giving up his personal life and comfort to make sure his Great Teacher’s life and mission went smoothly. His life reads like one of the historic adventure novels he seemed to devour regularly. Sent on one seemingly impossible mission after another on Babaji’s behalf, he always returned triumphant. But for all the work he did in India, his greatest love was expanding Maharaj ji’s childhood vision in Russia. And in return, he was greatly loved by the Russian sangat. So it is only fitting that the first letters come from those in Russia who saw him as Maharaj ji’s key ambassador.

Please accept our sincerest condolences on untimely demise of Harvinder Singh.

It was a great shock for us to hear the sad news of his tragic death. Not so long ago we met him at the Havan ceremony at Volokolamsk, together recited Jaap Sahib, discussed future collaboration plans. Harvinder selflessly served Maharaj Ji all his life and undoubtedly deserved the trust and respect of the Great Teacher.

The bright memory of Harvinder Singh, our Indian friend, will burn for many years in the hearts of many Russian followers of Baba Virsa Singh Ji.

This loss is as heavy for us as it is for you. Harvinder Singh was our great friend and spiritual brother. He made a lot of efforts to spread Maharaj Ji’s mission in Russia. His dedication to the Teacher will always remain in our memory as an example of faithful and sincere service.

We grieve with you during these sorrowful days and dedicate our collective prayer to our friend and brother, so that his soul may reach the high Light without any obstacles.

May his good name live forever!

Peace and consolation to his soul!

May his spirit have bright power!

We send our condolences and feel sad about demise of a wonderful and active sevadar of Gobind Sadan Harvinder Singh.

There very few people on the Earth who give their time, energy and whole self to serve noble work. We met Harvinder in 2004 at Snegiri during Baba Virsa Singh’s visit to Russia. The organization of all events of that visit in many respects depended on Harvinder Singh. He made a great contribution in organizing ceremonies at Volokolamsk. Every time on coming to Gobind Sadan we were glad to see the permanent smile on Harvinder’s face, his concern and help. No doubt he was a strong person doing a lot of good to the common work.

Light to you, dear Harvinder Singh!!!

We express our condolences on the demise of Harvinder Singh, a bright person who dedicated his life to spreading Maharaj Ji’s mission and made a great contribution to the course of peace and strengthening the spiritual union between India and Russia. His memory will live in our hearts.

May there be Light!

Fearless Warrior – Selfless Servant

A Tribute to “L.L.” Harvinder Singh

11-4-12

For all the enemies he made, let us praise him – for in so doing he protected Maharaj during His Life and Gobind Sadan thereafter.

For all the toes he stepped on – he kept the path open for the Babaji to walk

For all the times he slept in his car – or fell asleep in meetings – he tried to allow Babaji to rest more comfortably

For all the times he was summoned to one leader’s or another official’s residence – he either advanced the mission or kept our Lord’s mission from being soiled.

Though at times he was gruff, he loved the Lord more than he did the Lord’s servants and for that he was often resented.

Is it not the sign of a true devotee that they sacrifice themselves and their comforts for the Lord?

Toward the end – he was resigned – resigned to step back and let what was to happen – happen. He had done all he could in the time he had and was more disappointed in the rest of us – that we weren’t able to step up.

So let us come together – move forward – and allow the light to shine. As for Harvinder, our brother is sitting at the Holy Feet of the Light – let us remember and celebrate his life by sharing the Light with all we meet.

From now on, while there are many worldly degrees of excellence, in Gobind Sadan, “L.L.” will remain a degree that few if any can attain.

With love and greatly missing our dear brother and deep condolences and great hugs to his beloved family

MISSING LL

We are sorely missing our dear brother Harvinder Singh (“LL”), but we are sure that he is happy now that is reunited with his beloved Maharaj ji, Baba Virsa Singh. He devoted his entire adult life—“tan, man, dhan”—to Maharaj’s service, never giving any thought to his own comfort. This was very evident in recent years after Maharaj’s physical passing, as he fought tirelessly to prevent sale or takeover of the lands which Maharaj had worked so hard to develop as the base for his mission.

Among the many people who mourn his passing are the gardeners and labourers at Gobind Sadan. He always treated them with full respect and love, and never allowed any of them to touch his feet, as they would normally do in deference to a person of high status. He had privately helped many of them in their times of need, quietly using his own resources and connections to provide them with medical care, marriage expenses, and the like. He was a keen judge of character, and like Maharaj ji, had special regard for sincere and dedicated people, no matter what their worldly status.

Brilliant, fearless, and utterly determined, he was a great warrior in Maharaj’s mission. He laughed in the face of difficulties, so great was his faith in Maharaj. Surely he has been one of Maharaj’s most faithful lieutenants in previous lives, and if Maharaj takes birth again, surely he will come back along with him, again to take up the sword of truth and justice.
