Everyday Miracles
Miracles are everyday occurrences at Gobind Sadan. His Holiness Baba Virsa Singh explains:“Miracles are God’s nature. Wherever prayer is offered with full love and no self-interest God will surely listen and respond.”
In Gobind Sadan spiritual energy permeates everything, and those who read scripture, pray, meditate, and do seva receive great blessings. In addition, there are two main sites where prayers are being offered for healin.
The Main Havan
According to Babaji’s vision, the havan has been burning continuously in the same spot since 1968. Jaap Sahib and Chandi di War of Guru Gobind Singh, and Hanuman Chalisa are recited 24 hours a day as ghee and incense are offered to the sacred fire. Babaji has deputed Hardeep Singh, son of our beloved Gyaniji, to offer prayers for people at the havan. According to the situation, people are instructed to offer prasad--rot (sweet bread in honour of Hanuman), a deg of sweet rice in honour of the Prophet Mohammed, shahidi deg, or jalebi. The Power is so great that if God so blesses, people’s needs are fulfilled.
Jesus’ Place
Where a life-sized image of Jesus stands with arms outstretched welcoming those in need, as he appeared to His Holiness Baba Virsa Singh many years ago showering blessings on the community. Each night 125 candles are lit and the Lord’s Prayer is offered in many languages by the Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians present.
Here Babaji may send Mary Pat Fisher, who has devoted the past 15 years of her life to serving and developing Gobind Sadan, to pray to Jesus for His Divine Blessings. Many people come on their own around the clock to offer flowers, incense, and candles to Jesus. As Jesus is known as the one who takes away the pain of the world, if God so wills, whatever troubles people face are solved.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Alleviated

For the past two months' I was bedridden. I could not get up from my bed, nor could I do any work. I could not lift any weight. I could do nothing. I was completely on bed rest. I was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. All night I could not sleep. It was such a severe attack that I could do nothing, not even turn on my side. I tried all sorts of medicines, ayurvedic, homeopathic, allopathic, every kind of treatment. There was no improvement.
Brain Tumor Arrested

When the girl was young she fell ill. Many operations had to be done, and much of her leg was affected. She could no walk at all. We fed her food and water in lying position, for she could not even sit up. She was ten years old and she was so thin that she weighed only 14 kilograms.
Saved on the Highway

My mother and I were coming at 11 p.m. from Chandigarh to Delhi I dozed off at the wheel. Our car hit rough ground, flipped over, and slid across several lanes on the national highway. ended up facing in the opposite direction. There had previously been heavy traffic, but no one hit us. No bones were hurt. I had only a scraped elbow, and my mother had slight internal injuries. I remember that I was not doing Jaap Sahib. but at the impact it began playing in my mind.
Many Ailments Healed

I've been here at Gobind Sadan for ten years so far, by Maharaj's great grace, and so long as I stay here my health is excellent. By now I'm 56 years old and as strong and agile as I ``'as in my twenties. But before I came here from the United States, I had a long list of health problems. I had sore lumps in my breasts, couldn't digest milk, couldn't digest a long list of foods. I had shaking hands, bleeding gums, bad skin, slow wound healing, stiff neck, bursitis in my shoulder, hay fever from allergies, frequent colds, vertigo, low blood sugar, inability to concentrate on my work for more than 15 minutes without becoming extremely sleepy, and a mitral valve prolapse in my heart. Sometimes my heart raced so hard and fast that they put me in the hospital to make a videotape of it to see what was wrong. The valve is like a flap that sometimes got stuck in the wrong position. They warned me never to have dental work done without taking precautionary antibiotics, lest I might die from a heart infection.
A Miracle Child

My daughter was born on September 28, 1990, in Mool Chand Hospital in Delhi. On September 29 the doctors came and told us, "She has problems with her heartbeat. The normal count is going over 200 beats. In a crying or agitated baby you might find this, but a normal count of 200 is bad. So we are keeping her under observation." We had seen her for a few seconds when they brought her out of the delivery room, and then they took her to neonatal care.
Mother Brought Back to Life-Daughter Saved

Once upon a time my mother fell sick. She suffered from jaundice and all her blood dried up. Then she was admitted to a hospital, and the diagnosis was that there was a stone in one of the nerves and that operation was the only solution. She was very weak, so the operation could not be performed. Her condition deteriorated. The doctors told me that there was no chance of her survive so it was useless to keep her in the hospital. I straightaway took my mother to Gobind Sadan and met Maharaj ji, who was sitting in the Gurus' room. I prayed to him that my mother was not well and he at once gave me the order to have a very minor operation done and she would be perfectly all right.
Pain Unwinding-Tim Cook
Tim Cook, a very popular Christian minister from Texas who with his wife Barbara founded The Church of Conscious Harmony, met Babaji years ago and has been very inspired by him in his ministry. Tim appealed for help to Gobind Sadan on June 15, 2005, with a phone call and this email:
“I’ve grown desperate and nearly frantic from continuous, unrelenting, often excruciating pain and internal pressure that resulted from an unanticipated arousal of kundalini energy that began after our visit to Gobind Sadan in 1988. When we returned home, I began sitting in meditation from 6 to 8 hours each day. My back began to have painful spasms that were magnified when they hit the regions of my neck where I had spinal fusions earlier in life. I didn’t connect the rise in energy to sitting in meditation at first. Father Thomas Keating was the one who told me, ‘Oh, this is classic kundalini.’
Operations Cancelled
She had great fluid swelling behind her knees and osteoarthritis, and couldn’t walk without great pain. She went to a highly respected New Delhi hospital and consulted with two well-known orthodopedic surgeons. They said a big operation was necessary but couldn’t guarantee whether she would be able to walk afterward or not. The room was booked, and the date for the operation was fixed. She came to Maharaj and he told her no operation was necessary. He told her to do 7 days of seva here, told Mary to do ardas for her at Jesus’s Place, and told her to distribute panjiri there after she was okay. Mary also rubbed oil from the diva there behind Neelam’s knees. Now the swelling is gone, and with the help of medicine only, she is okay. She is beaming.
Liver Saved
My mother, Mrs. Surinderpal Kaur, was admitted into Emergency at an excellent hospital in New Delhi in a serious condition on the night of 11th-12th March 2005 in an unconscious state. She was found to have Hepatitis B, jaundice, and a bilirubin count of 14 (compared to a normal count of 1). The doctors began treating her on March 12th. They informed our family that she had only a 50% chance of survival. By that evening, they told the family that her liver was 80% damaged, and that she had only a 20% chance of surviving. They discussed the possibility of a liver transplant, but the cost would be 25,00,000 to 30,00,000 rupees [$58,000 to $70,000—far too much for the average Indian to afford], that it would have to be done in America, and that even then there was no guarantee of success. My father and I were very worried; there seemed no way out.
